Biography

MORI Tatsuya (1956, Japan) studied film at Rikkyo University, where he also acted in the Kurosawa Kiyoshi's student films. He started working as a documentary filmmaker in the late 1980s. He garnered much attention for A (1998) and A2 (2001), two taboo-breaking documentaries on the subject of the doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo. These days, he is best known as a celebrated writer, with an impressive list of 30 non-fiction books to his name. His primary subjects are social issues and the media.
