Rao Heidmets

Rao Heidmets graduated from Tallinn Technical University, Faculty of Electroenergetics. After finishing university in 1982, he changed career and went to Tallinnfilm studio. At first, he worked as an animator, from 1983 as a film director. He has made more than 20 films, which have been to festivals around the world. Among other festivals, his films have been screened at Cannes, Ottawa, Fredrikstad. Besides filmmaking, he has worked as an animation teacher in the Estonian Academy of Arts and Tartu Art College.
