Biography

Russian director and writer. Born in 1972 in Mogilev in the Soviet Union (today in Belarus). He is a graduate of the Minsk State Linguistic University and the Indiana University School of Journalism. He has lived in Moscow since 2000. He has a dozen fiction and non-fiction books to his name, many of which have been nominated for major book prizes. He debuted as a film director in 2013 with the low-budget feature "Desyatka". He subsequently made the feature-length documentary "Traces in the Snow" (WFF 2014). "Anomie" is his latest feature film.
