Biography
Born in the United States in 1979, Benjamin Crotty studied at Yale before enrolling at Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains. He directed numerous short films, two of which in collaboration with Gabriel Abrantes: Visionary Iraq (2008), which received the New Talent FNAC Award at IndieLisboa, and Liberdade (2011), which won the Premio Film und Video Untertitelung in the section Pardi di domani — Concorso internazionale in Locarno, where he also presented Fort Buchanan in 2012.
