Biography

Drop-out from Aarhus University (literature history). Aage used his student grants and loans to hang out at the Danish Film Workshop and Aarhus Film Workshop in order to make documentary and underground films. Among others, the award-winning Glasmuren.

His feature debut came in 1996 with the Bodil-nominated film Anton. Anton won the Jury's Special Mention at the Berlin Film Festival (Kinderfilmfest) the same year. In addition, the film received many other awards for best direction and best actor (Jacob Oliver Krarup) at Asia's largest children's film festival in Hyderabad, India.

In 1998, Aage made the improvised puberty-documentary film Tøser og Drengerøve.The feature film, På Fremmed Mark (Foreign Fields) was made in 2000. And the feature film, KICK N´RUSH, made on his home pitch. In between his features, Aage has made documentaries, including Wonderkids (Jæger won a special mention at the Odense Film Festival in 2002) and Operation Bilka about a Danish UN soldier who robbed a Bilka department store.
