Biography

Hume graduated from Goldsmith’s College in 1986 and since then has worked as a journalist for NME, as News Editor for Channel One (London), News Producer for Channel Ten (Sydney). She co-founded the New Cross Theatre in 1985 and directed a number of plays including Mamet’s Sexual Perversity In Chicago and Berkoff’s Lunch.

Hume has participated in the Carlton New Screenwriters course, and the Northern School of Film and TV MA Screenwriting Course. She has written a 90 minute episode of The Vice for Carlton. Her first original feature screenplay Pure was directed by Gillies Mackinnon, and she was writing James v James, a two part drama for Kudos Productions/BBC.
