Susana Guardiola

Biography

Director, screenwriter and producer. With a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master’s degree in creative documentary, she began her career in Hollywood as a sound assistant to Milos Forman. After working in Spain with directors such as Bigas Luna, Carles Bosch and Isaki Lacuesta, her first film released in cinemas as a director, producer and scriptwriter was Voces desde Mozambique, with Françoise Polo. Member and delegate of CIMA in Catalonia, she started the mentoring programme CIMA CAT CURTS (Acció Curts de Dones Visuals). In 2018 she founded her own production company STORIES BY SUSANA GUARDIOLA. Her film Descubriendo a José Padilla (made with Marta Figueras), premiered at the Seminci in 2020. Her other projects are the fiction and documentary film El Dioni, palabra de ladrón, the documentary Peace, it is possible and the fiction mini-series El príncipe de cristal.
