Biography
SHINOZAKI Makoto (1963, Tokyo) started by making 8mm films in secondary school, studied Psychology at the University of Rikkyo and worked as a projectionist in a film theatre in Tokyo. He has written film reviews and published interviews with Kitano Takeshi, Abbas Kiarostami and Quentin Tarantino. His feature debut was Okaeri (1995). He has made eleven fiction films since then.
