Biography

Stéphanie Pillonca was initially trained as an actress. After studying in the Dramatic Art Conservatory of Toulon, she acted in several movies, as well as in plays and musicals. She was a host and reporter in many TV shows, producing over 200 stories. In 2011, she wrote and directed the short film Bocuse. The following year, she co-authored with Gustave Kervern the book ‘Small moments of intoxication’. Pillonca directed her first documentary film I Will Walk to the Sea (2012). Moved and disturbed by her younger sister’s decision to become a nun, she directed the documentary An Absolute Love (2014). In 2016, her first fiction feature The Poisoning Angel was selected at the Busan International Film Festival.
