Daniela Schneider (Mexico City, Mexico, 1980) was born in Mexico City and studied Art and Film in Barcelona. For three years, she painted at the Massana School alongside sculptor Gabriel Sanz. Back in Mexico City, Daniela joined Mantarraya Producciones and worked on the films Batalla en el cielo, Sangre, and Los Bastardos. In 2006, she received support from Fundacion Bancomer to make her directorial debut with the short film Pescador (International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand, Paris International Short Film Festival, Lisbon International Independent Film Festival and ficco, Mexico, 2007).
