Danny De Vent

Graduated in music at the Blankenberge Royal Conservatoire, in photography at the Antwerpen Fine Arts Royal Academy and in animation at the Gent Kask School, Danny De Vent directs two cut-out animations of which La Plage in 1999 (selected at Annecy, Krok, Brussels and many others film festivals). Then he works on the special effects of the fiction short E ahora passado and as director of photography on the short E ahora posto (2004). La Leçon de natation is his first professional film, shot with a mixed technique of cut-out and 3D animation.
