Biography

Lasse Glomm started his career as a film journalist and junior editor in the Norwegian movie magazines "Fant" and "Filmavisa". From the early seventies he began his career as a professional film worker, starting out as production assistant and production manager on various films, including the controversial His Mother's House and Kjære Maren.

He made his debut as a director with the drama The Second Shift in 1978. Since his debut Glomm directed a further six feature films, as well as two drama series' for television; I de beste familier and Offshore. Glomm was also an accomplished screenwriter, and wrote several of his own films, in addition to films made by other directors, such as Anja Breien's Heritage and the Academy Award nominated The Other Side of Sunday.
