Biography (1)

Zdenek Sirový (1932-1995), director and screenwriter, graduated in directing from FAMU. He worked in Zlín's film studio and later at Barrandov. His first feature films were the dramas Horse Traders (Handlíři, 1963) and Funeral Ceremonies (Smuteční slavnost, 1969 – the film was locked away). Among his subsequent films are several films based on Jack London's stories, e.g. The Claim at the Deaf Creek (Claim na Hluchém potoku, 1971), but was mainly involved in dubbing… (more)
