Carlos Ruano

The love for films made Carlos Ruano move to Madrid to study a Screenplay Writing Postgradute Degree. After graduating, he started working as a screenwriter on notorious Spanish TV shows such as Física o Química, Vive Cantando or Cuéntame un Cuento. In 2006 he made the leap into film direction and film production with Dulces, a short movie which represents his first attempt to deal with the LGBTI issue, a recurring theme in later works. Later, with the help of Zampano Producciones, he directed Turno de Noche, selected in more than thirty international film festivals. Piscina is his third short film as director, producer and screenwriter.
