Biography
Akio Fujimoto learned the essence of filmmaking at the Osaka Visual Arts Academy and worked as head of the selection committee for the student film category of Nara Festival. He has directed the short films Psychedelic Family (2013) and Bleached Bones Avenue (2020) as well as the feature film Boku no kaeru basho (Passage of Life, 2017). Umibe no kanojotachi is his second film.
