Biography

Studied Hispanic literature at the UNAM and took different workshops and seminars on screenwriting and filmmaking. He wrote the script for three feature films and three short films for different directors. He was also the screenwriter and director of 10 short films. With his first work as director, he won the Best Short Film Award in the Critics’ Week at Cannes in 2002. His work has been selected for competition in numerous film festivals and has been screened in several Mexican film retrospectives. The documentary The Engineer is his first feature film as director.
