Born in 1989, he did his preparatory film studies in Nantes before studying Direction in Fémis. Making the most of the resources offered by the school, in 2012 he directed the feature film Études pour un paysage amoureux. When he left the school, he founded the production company Les Films d’Argile, and at the same time worked as a projectionist. He directed the short films Carnet de bal (2015), La route de la soie (2016) and the documentary Île-Errance (2017). His film A Violent Desire for Joy premiered in the section dedicated to ACID at the Cannes Festival and was programmed in CPH:PIX.
