Biography (1)
Fukasaku was born in Japan in 1930. Upon graduating from Nihon University College of Art in 1953, he joined Toei. Since his debut in 1961, he was a pillar of the Japanese film industry, creating many blockbuster films, such as Wolves, Pigs and People (1964), Outlaw Killers: Three Mad Dog Killers (1972) and Battles Without Honor and Humanity (1973). He collapsed while filming and died in 2003 at the age of 72.
