Pablo Balderas graduated from audiovisual arts from the Department of the Image and Sound at the Guadalajara University, in which he had the opportunity to direct and produce various short films. His first documentary short film Cándida Vida, from the program Territorios Interiores, won the jury award in the Mexican Fragments category at the Docs Mx 2020 film festival. In the last semester of his studies, he was the recipient of the Grodman Legacy scholarship for study projects with the script for the short film Yo No Fui Yo.
