Pamela Guinea

Biography

Audiovisual Guatemalan producer with films such as: Gasolina (2008), Las Marimbas del Infierno (2010), Polvo (2012), among others. She was production manager of the documentary Lecciones Para Una Guerra by Juan Manuel Sepúlveda (2012). She was online producer of Guatemala for La Jaula de Oro (2013) by Diego Quemada-Díez. She is producer of feature film Tesoros by María Novaro, which premiered at the Berlinale, where Mexico included it in the list 10 Producers to Watch in the European Film Market. She is co-producer and executive producer of Nuestras Madres directed by Cesar Diaz, premiered at the 58th Critics’ Week of Cannes, 2019, where it obtained the Caméra d’Or, among other prizes. From her company Cine Murciélago, she co-produces projects such as Nosotros, Roza and Boreal. She was president of the Guatemalan Film Association, agacine and founder of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Guatemala. She is the general coordinator of the Film Made by Women Show. In 2021, she received the Order of the Arts and the Letters in the grade of Knight (Chevalier) awarded by the French Ministry of Culture.
