Biography
Martin Witz was born in Zurich in 1956. He studied German, European folk literature and journalism. He is a co-founder of the Videoladen Zürich, an independent film production group that was active until 1982. Since then, he has been working as a freelance director, mostly covering topics in Switzerland and Germany. He is also a playwright and a film editor as well as a member of the Swiss Film Academy.
