Biography
Ulrich Thomsen studied acting in Copenhagen and initially focused on theatre. He has done a broad range of film work, appearing in independent pictures, TV series, action movies and European thrillers. His role as a Bond villain in The World Is Not Enough placed Thomsen in the spotlight. He has also acted in the Danish dramas Festen, Adam's Apples and Flickering Lights. Directors he has worked with include Kathryn Bigelow, Ridley Scott and Susanne Bier.
In 2016, he made his own debut as director with the film-noir In Embryo, which he also wrote, produced and starred in.
