Sára Cserhalmi (b. 1980) graduated in philosophy from Eötvös Loránd University and completed her directing degree at the Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Budapest. She has shot several television productions, working with Hungarian national television and others. She is the creator of numerous music videos and short films; for the short Scantly (Szűken, szépen, 2007) she received the Special Jury Prize at the 39th Hungarian Film Week. Dear Betrayed Friends is her feature debut.
