Biography
Mahdi Fleifel, born in Dubai in 1979, is a Palestinian filmmaker. Fleifel grew up in Ain El-Helweh refugee camp and later in Elsinore, Denmark. Fleifel has a degree from the British National Film and Television School. His short films have been screened at several festivals and they have been awarded all around the world. A World Not Ours (2012) is Fleifel's first feature film direction. In this autobiographical documentary film the director returns to Ain El-Helweh to focus on the story of his family.
