Born in 1963 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Pierre Bismuth is a contemporary artist who, through efficient and often humorous gestures, interrupts pre-established codes of reading images, from Hollywood films, cover stories in newspapers to magazine cuttings from gentlemen's magazines. In 2005, he wins the Oscar for the Best original screenplay along with Michel Gondry and Charlie Kaufman for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). He lives and works in Brussels.
