Biography
Sérgio Tréfaut (1965, Brazil) has an MA in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University and began his career as a journalist in Lisbon. He is an experienced documentary producer-director with several awarded titles: Alcibiade (1992), Outro País (1999), Fleurette (2002). His films were distributed or broadcasted in more than 30 countries. Lisboners was a true national political event and became the documentary with the largest audience ever in Portugal. His feature debut Viagem a Portugal (2011) was awarded with Golden Tayga award of the Spirit of Fire Film Festival for best debut.
