Caged Women

Another entry in the Italian run of popular Emmanuelle sex movies, Bruno Mattei’s presentation of caged female sleaze delivers a suitably charged piece of institution-based exploitation wrought with cat fights corruption and claustrophobic tension. When investigative journalist Emmanuelle (Laura Gemser) pretends to be a drug dealer so that she can go to prison and write an expose of life inside Santa Catrina, a women’s penitentiary, she experiences humiliation, violence and is made to suffer solitary confinement and other random punishments.
