Soraida, a Woman of Palestine

Life under pressure. Soraida is trying to lead a normal life with her family and friends in Ramallah, the capital of the occupied territories of Palestine. But how can one overcome hatred and fear when Israeli tanks constantly rumble past the house, when an arduous passage through checkpoints prevents you from getting to the next town, and loudspeakers scream out sudden curfews? Soraida witnesses her young daughters acting out the Israeli invasion of Ramallah with their dolls, and her five-year-old son announces that he wants to commit suicide. However, Soraida, a former Intifada-fighter, is determined not to lose her humanity.
