A Study in Scarlet

The ever-shrewd Sherlock Holmes (Reginald Owen) is recruited to uncover the motive behind a number of mysterious deaths. Every one of the victims belonged to a secret London club headed up by lawyer Thaddeus Merrydew (Alan Dinehart), who appropriates the deceased's assets and doles them out among surviving society members. Although Merrydew is highly suspect, there are plenty of other suspicious characters that make the case a tricky one to solve. Coded messages and calling-card clues keep Holmes on his toes as he deduces his way to the truth. (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
