Season 1 (2011) (S01)

English YuriYuri is cute and funny, so definitely something for me. However, I have to say that I have seen much better works in terms of comedy, and I have had much more intense experiences even in the cuteness department, even though this show is still above average in those respects. There is a love story, and as the title suggests, it is a purely girly romance, which is not usually my cup of tea. However, it is a cheerful girly sort of playing around in this show. Perhaps I found the intense romantic relationship swinging from hatred to love and back again that Sakurako and Himawari have quite appealing. I could pretty much do without Chitose and all her crazy fantasies and her constant nosebleed that accompanies them. At first, they were entertaining, even though they got super annoying after some time. My favorite character from this particular anime series is Akari. Akari is awkward, has terrible luck, and the others sometimes throw her around like she does not exist, which makes me feel like I have to root for her. I think she is the cutest character of the whole anime series. Close behind her is Kyoko because she is insane and mainly the one around whom most of the action revolves. The show's narrative does not go anywhere or develop much, only "cute girls do cute things in cute ways," "and they love each other" again, which I did not mind at all. All in all, this is a nice, funny, and cute show, although I have seen others that were better, and so I am only awarding 8/10. ()

♪♪ (2012) (S02)

English The cuteness of YuriYuri’s first season was largely retained, although I am going to agree with FilmBooster reviewer Larky about the humor, and I am going to say that it is not quite the same in the second season. So there is a drop of two points and one star, so 6/10. ()

San Hai! (2015) (S03)

English In my opinion, YuruYuri San☆Hai! is funnier than the previous (second) season YuruYuri♪♪ and the third episode is very close to the standards of the first season. Again it has some great moments; for example, the opening of the second episode with the spider amused me a lot, even though there are some parts that I did not find so amusing or interesting, which is a bit of a pity. Still, I am quite glad that this bunch is back, and I found it quite entertaining, and it is still just as cute. 7.2/10. ()
