English A report written in a Russian-style oprichnina, narrated from the perspective of five political and two criminal convicts sentenced to the highest punishment. Exceptionally strong material with excellent casting. The final days and hours before execution, their last words, and farewells. Perhaps only the somewhat theatrical direction slightly dips it to a four-star rating. It immerses you suggestively into the environment of Tsarist Russia, with its concept of justice. Overall impression: 85%. ()
