English The new generation of MH is here :) Frankie, Draculaura, and Clawdeen are back. After series streamed primarily on YouTube - Monster High (2010) and Monster High: Adventures of the Ghoul Squad (2017), the third generation is now associated primarily with Nickelodeon; for the first time, the animated series is accompanied by live-action films Monster High (2022) and Monster High 2 (2023). With each generation, Mattel introduces new dolls, collectibles, and the world of high school for young monsters changes drastically. This time, Clawdeen, a half-wolf, is the main protagonist, while Draculaura, still a vegetarian vampire and Dracula's daughter, is primarily interested in magic, which is forbidden at the school. Frankie Stein is now non-binary because she embodies all the people she was created from. Lagoona Blue is no longer a passive blond beauty in distress, but a piranha from Latin America, etc. Some characters are relatively the same, only the whole group is significantly younger. The original monsters were based on typical high school stereotypes, interested in who is dating whom, walked in high heels, traveled the world, romantic couples broke up and got back together... Today's monsters are more like tweens, much more naive and cuter. However, the creative world based on classic horrors still works, and the individual episodes are well-crafted. It's just that the old fandom doesn't like changes. ()
