Sisters of the Gion

Umekichi is a geisha in the Gion, Kyoto, who helps her lover Furusawa after the latter leaves his wife and becomes bankrupt. Umekichi's sister Omocha is angry with her sister being saddled with the penniless Furusawa and conspires to get rid of him and find new and wealthy protectors for her and Umekichi. (Artificial Eye)
