Albert Anker. Malstunden bei Raffael

For many, the history of art in Switzerland only really begins with him: Albert Anker captured Swiss folk life like no other with his lively oil paintings. His studio in Ins in Bern's Seeland region, which he set up in 1859 in the attic of his family home, has been preserved to this day, largely with its original furnishings. Together with musician Endo Anaconda and an ensemble of charismatic protagonists, filmmaker Heinz Bütler takes us on a journey of discovery through the "Anker House". Through the collective exploration of the premises, he creates a refreshingly new perspective on the Swiss artist. (Zurich Film Festival)
