A Cosy Cottage

Palotás is a technical controller. He is disillusioned and weary. He arrives in the small town for a week's visit. This is where he meets his former friend Máté has made a wonderful career and is chief engineer now. He provides for her excellently, she does not even need to work. Palotás calls at their home and senses the wife's bluntness and boredom. Nothing happens. Joy is just pretended at the party given by the Mátés a few days later, too. The men drink, and Panni leaves the scene very upset. Palotás encourages her to start a new and independent life. Palotás and Panni spend the last night together.
