Helen lives with her ex-husband, his new girlfriend, and his dying mother, Gwen. She spends her days taking care of Gwen. At night, she works in a chicken factory. Her monotonous life in industrial Wales is turned upside down when Joanne returns to town. As a girl, Helen was secretly in love with Joanne, and it seems that years later their love has a chance to flourish after all - if it weren't for dark memories of the past that suddenly catch up with Joanne. A comedic Feel-Good movie about love and loss that hits right at the heart thanks to its inspiring soundtrack by Neil Diamond, Minnie Riperton and others. (Zurich Film Festival)
