Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2002)

English You have to admit that the animated series has balls, much like the first film that was based on the manga. It's not just that the show is cool and at times quite sexy, it's that it's action-packed, and every now and then some of the grittier, darker and more serious themes come to the surface quite substantially. Anime still has something to say and this team works. ()

2nd GIG (2004) (S02)

English I was a little surprised by how some parts were more spoken than animated, but it must be said that even in cases where there was less animation, the creators definitely had a story to tell. It has to be acknowledged that the series was able to take the original manga to something that can work on a larger and more long-term scale. ()
