One Washer Please

Une Laveuse S.V.P. follows Alina, a Romanian immigrant in Montreal, struggling with the language barrier as she buys herself a laundry machine. Faced with a rude salesman at the appliance store, she spends her time at the local laundromat waiting for this washer that will never come. The film explores patience, immigration, integration, human interaction, the solitude that comes with a new place with a splash of queer tension. (Prague Film Awards)
