The only thing recent World War I veteran Johnny Gray (Franchot Tone) knows for sure is that he had amnesia while he was living in London, and that he has no memory of what he might have done while living there. So, when a mysterious woman (Ann Richards) shows up on the eve of his wedding day and announces she's Gray's long-lost wife -- and, even more serious, that he's the father of her twins -- the sudden news inverts Gray's uncertain world.
