Plots(1)

They came. They conquered. They looked fabulous! With a contract to perform a drag show way out in the Australian desert, Tick (Hugo Weaving), Adam (Guy Pearce) and Bernadette (Terence Stamp) each has his own reason for wanting to leave the safety of Sydney. Christening their battered, pink tour bus "Priscilla", this wickedly funny and high-drama trio heads for the outback... and into crazy adventures in even crazier outfits. You go, girls! English This wild road-movie with all colours and shades, featuring an unconventional trio that embarks on a journey through the Australian outback really amused and intrigued me in many ways. All three actors are wonderful in their roles, the inhospitable environment (visually and socially) of Australia is nicely portrayed, and the musical score (especially "Mamma Mia!") was just the icing on the cake. In short, a film that may not appeal to everyone, but I really enjoyed it. ()

English I was blown away by this film. The characters here are so well acted and don't come off as caricatures at all - well, okay, Guy Pearce does at times - that it's easy to connect with them. It's really just a road movie, but it's visually and musically beautiful, plus it tries to tell a story, which is equally important. I was worried for nothing. ()
