After the Day Before

A middle-aged man arrives in a truck at a road junction. He gets a motorcycle from the driver. He has come to take possession of his heritage, the Gruber ranch. He spends the night in the teacher's house, and learns in the morning that at daybreak Romek's daughter was found dead in the abyss. He rides from place to place, yet cannot find the ranch in the photo. Everybody knows about what has happened to the girl. Romek even shows her coffin to him, yet the stranger meets her while she is listening to music and herding the lambs. The man sees himself raping her, tearing the snail chain from her neck and smashing her head with a big stone. The girl's friend enters into a fight with him, and falls from the rock. He stands on top of a hill with his bike and looks into the distance. Should he not even have set out for his destination? (Budapest Film)
