The pastor of a 17th century Zurich rural parish is so infatuated with hunting that this passion threatens to rob him of his office and dignity. At the same time, a young vicar is madly in love with the pastor’s daughter, who is already promised to a captain. Now everyone is hoping for help from the famous general and cousin of the pastor, who promises to set everything straight with a clever plan and a defective pistol. (Zurich Film Festival)
