English As a remake or tribute, it is unusable, like a simplified version of Clouseau for the new generation. What calms me the most is that the main character is essentially a completely different hero, the humor is aimed in a completely different direction, but the framework of the story with the diamond and the crime remains the same. And in Martin's performance, a scene like that "hamburger" is literally legendary. ()

English Steve Martin attempted to step into the shoes of a legend and unfortunately, he probably didn't realize they were way too big for him. Instead of attempting his own interpretation of Clouseau, he tried it with the same elements as Peter Sellers. Yes, here and there it's funny, but turning the detective into a real genius at the end just didn't quite fit. Not to mention that it's really only funny in a few moments. ()
