Cruella De Vil, Disney’s most outrageous villain, sets the fur-raising adventure in motion when she dognaps all of the Dalmatian puppies in London — including 15 from Pongo and Perdita’s family. Through the power of the “Twilight Bark,” Pongo leads a heroic cast of animal characters on a dramatic quest to rescue them all in a story the whole family will enjoy again and again. A fairly enjoyable and easy-going film that doesn't offend. More than a hundred pairs of chocolate eyes and even more black dots that Cruella is obsessed with, here very well played by Glenn Close. 5.5 out of 10 especially for Cruella and the cute dogs. ()
Solid craftsmanship, but the content is so feeble and predictable that you will die of boredom. There have been hundreds of such films and this one does not stand out among them in any way. It’s good entertainment only for viewers who go to the cinema once in ten years. And for small children who are satisfied with the sight of a cute dog and a series of naïve jokes. ()
I had that feeling again that in childhood you just perceive movies differently and you don't mind at all if they're not funny, as long as they're cute and pretend to be slapstick. This film has some of the same feel as Home Alone, but it's not nearly as funny or entertaining. Glenn Close is perfectly demonic in her role, until the ending, which just ends poorly. ()
