Cruella De Vil, Disney’s most outrageous villain, sets the fur-raising adventure in motion when she dognaps all of the Dalmatian puppies in London — including 15 from Pongo and Perdita’s family. Through the power of the “Twilight Bark,” Pongo leads a heroic cast of animal characters on a dramatic quest to rescue them all in a story the whole family will enjoy again and again. Solid craftsmanship, but the content is so feeble and predictable that you will die of boredom. There have been hundreds of such films and this one does not stand out among them in any way. It’s good entertainment only for viewers who go to the cinema once in ten years. And for small children who are satisfied with the sight of a cute dog and a series of naïve jokes. ()
I had this feeling again that in childhood you simply perceive movies differently and you don't mind that they are not funny, as long as they are cute and seem like a grotesque. This movie has something from "Home Alone", but it's not as funny and entertaining in terms of plot. Glenn Close, however, is perfectly demonic in her role, except for the ending, which ends up really badly. ()
