The Emperor's New Clothes is a very unconventionally conceived and original piece from Walt Disney's workshop, which captivates with a brisk pace, a diverse cast of characters and more than one funny idea. Story-wise, the film does not offer any deeper plot twist and the whole thing plays purely on that humorously didactic note, but it is nevertheless presented in a supremely enjoyable way that makes you forgive the flatter plot and lets you ride the wave of humour, action and lessons. Seventy minutes of non-violent fun guaranteed! ()
An entertaining animated film with a somewhat clichéd story that the humor can't entirely save. I enjoyed it, and the original voice acting is absolutely fantastic, but perhaps it could have used even more light-hearted humor for me to consider the film truly distinct from typical Disney fare. It's a little different, and that's a good thing. ()
