A Night in Transylvania

Joseph II and his adjutant, Kléber travel to Transylvania in disguise. Their coach breaks down, so the emperor spends the night at Bakó Áron's, in Székács, while Kléber puts up with Alvinczy Krisztina, the young widow. She takes Kléber for the emperor and falls in love with him. A few weeks pass and Mária Terézia is informed from Krisztina's letter that she gets by mistake about the love affaire of her son on his Transylvanian journey. In Vienna, Krisztina is shocked to learn that whom she thought to be the emperor is somebody else and meets the real Joseph II. However, Kléber loves Krisztina, as well and Mary Theresa marries the two of them. (official distributor synopsis)
