Undoubtedly very much a television studio affair, but excellently cast and acted, moreover making full use of the good qualities of its literary source material. Overall impression 75%.

Flawless, what more is there to say? Jaroslav Moučka was perhaps really born for Trepifajskl, Jiřina Bohdalová plays Plajznerka in a very pleasantly "non-Bohdalovian" way... And the supporting roles! Květa Fialová, Josef Větrovec, Josef Bláha... Perfect! This film is more than a fairy tale - it's first and foremost a great TV production with perfect acting performances that I always enjoy.
