An early comedy from Wong Jing, one of Hong Kong's most prolific and popular filmmakers. 1982's winner Takes All is a slapstick laugher about a pair of bumbling private detectives hired by a Japanese girl to uncover the truth behind her father's death and the family fortune stolen by her evil uncle. Much wackiness ensues with a bizarre game of mahjong with a robot, a band of ninjas who hunt and chase our heroes and director Wong himself showing up as the detectives cranky boss.
