Young Noszty and Mary Toth

Noszty Feri, a hussar officer, is one with enigmatic love affairs and unsettled financial problems. Also to be sorted out is the problem how his younger sister might be married, although this problem is resolved thanks to baron Kopereczky, an enthusiastic applicant and future husband. Feri's father wants his son to be married to Tóth Mari, a rich girl. Feri falls in love with the girl, without actually knowing her. Meanwhile, thanks to Feri's expired bill of exchange, his rank as a lieutenant turns out to be at a risk. Having become a civilian, Feri does not give up making amorous advances to Mari. In the end, Mari turns out to be the girl from America, whom Noszty Sr. has picked for him to become his wife. There is no obstacle now to their marriage and Feri does not even lose his rank as an officer. (official distributor synopsis)
